For builders, business owners and site managers

Commercial plumbing and gas

Fitout, commercial kitchens, services pipework, and the annual testing that has a date on it. Licensed for water and for gas, so a job that needs both is one trade and one set of dates.

What we get called onto

Six things. The first four are the ones that bring people to us, and the last two are why they keep the number.

Commercial fitout

New build and refit, from the rough-in through to fit-off and handover. We work off the drawings, we work in with the other trades, and we turn up on the day we said we would, which on a programmed job is most of the value.

Commercial kitchens

Gas fitting for commercial cooking equipment, with the flexible connectors restrained the way they have to be so an appliance can be pulled out for cleaning without loading the connection. Gas is the licensed, higher risk end of the trade and it is our speciality.

Services pipework

Potable and non-potable water, gas, compressed air, vacuum and reverse osmosis water, run, labelled and tested. Every line identified, because the next person who opens that ceiling has to know what they are looking at.

Backflow and TMV testing

Annual testing of backflow prevention devices and thermostatic mixing valves, tested and repaired on the spot where we can, with the report to go with it. This one is a legal obligation with a date on it, not a maintenance nicety.

Maintenance and repairs

Routine plumbing maintenance across a site, and the repairs that come up in between. If it is water or gas, it is one trade and one call rather than two.

Emergency response

Our local emergency team is ready to respond promptly during all active business hours.

What a commercial job actually looks like

Real photographs from a Flowtek commercial fitout. Not stock, not generated. We have not named the building, because that is the client's to name, not ours.

Three reasons

Why a builder rings us twice

  • 01

Water and gas on the one licence

A commercial kitchen with a gas cooktop and a hand basin is two trades for most people. It is one for us, which is one set of dates to coordinate instead of two.

  • 02

    Site ready

Hi-vis, hard hats, inductions, and the paperwork that goes with height work. We are not learning how a construction site runs on your job.

  • 03

The annual test does not get forgotten

Backflow and TMV testing runs on a calendar. We would rather ring you before the date than explain a lapsed device afterwards.

The parts nobody sees

Above the ceiling and behind the wall

Most of a commercial fitout disappears the day the ceiling goes in. That is exactly why it gets done properly first.

Two things we will not put on this page

A client list. We have done commercial work for other businesses on this coast. Whether their name goes on our website is their call, not ours, and we have not asked. Ask us on the phone and we will tell you what we have done and who you can ring about it.

A response time. Our emergency response runs during active business hours. We are not going to print a number of hours on a web page and then have you find out on the worst day of your year that we could not meet it.

Pat Battle Google review, January 2024

These are customers' own words about their own jobs, published on our Google Business Profile and quoted here exactly as they wrote them, misspellings of our name included. They describe what happened on those days. They are not a promise about how quickly we can get to you.

Tell us about the job

Drawings, a scope, or just a description of the site and what it needs. If it is a programmed job, tell us the dates you are working to.

The quickest way for us to get back to you.
Not on the list? Type it in and we will tell you straight whether we come out there.
The make and age of the unit, or where the water is coming from, saves us both a trip.
