Six things, and the three at the top are what Frenchville rings us about most. Every one of them is done by a licensed plumber and gas fitter, and the site gets cleaned up before we leave.
Water coming back up through the plugholes, and the plunger has given up. Blocked dunnies, leaking taps, corroded pipework and water pressure that is either a dribble or a rumble. This is the bread and butter service call.
More on blocked drains
You turn on the tap and wait for it to warm up. And wait. And wait. We install energy efficient hot water systems and troubleshoot the one you already have. Instantaneous gas, solar and heat pump, plus repairs on whatever is out there now.
More on hot water
Creating your dream bathroom, kitchen or laundry? The plumbing you cannot see is the part that ruins a renovation. We cover the water and the gas on the same job, so a kitchen with a gas cooktop takes one trade instead of two.
More on renovations
Make sure you are (safely) cooking with gas. Gas is the licensed, higher risk work a handyman cannot legally touch. Hot water systems, stovetops and ovens are the speciality, domestic and commercial, including commercial kitchens.
Gas fitting
The test is annual, and the reminder never comes at a good time. Backflow valves stop contaminated water flowing back into the drinking supply. Thermostatic mixing valves blend hot and cold to a safe temperature so nobody gets scalded. Both need testing, and we test and repair on the spot.

We work across Rockhampton from Yeppoon, but we are not going to put a made-up job or a borrowed photo on this page to prove it. If we have done work at your place in Frenchville, a Google review helps your neighbours far more than anything we could write here.

These are customers' own words about their own jobs, published on our Google Business Profile and quoted here exactly as they wrote them, misspellings of our name included. They describe what happened on those days. They are not a promise about how quickly we can get to you.
Often, but only once you know where the loss actually is. We measure at the meter and at the fixture. If the pressure arriving at your property is genuinely at the low end, a pump and a small break tank is the answer and no amount of new tap ware will help. If the pressure at the meter is fine, the problem is on your side and it is far cheaper to fix.
On a Frenchville slope the runs are longer than they look and they often have less fall than they need. Waste slows where the fall flattens out, and that is where it builds up. Clearing it is straightforward, but if it keeps coming back it is worth putting a camera down to see whether the grade is the real problem.
Four things, in order. You could check every one of them the next day.
Tell us the suburb and what is happening. A photo of the unit or the leak tells us more than a paragraph does.
Sometimes that is a question or two on the phone. Sometimes it is obvious from the photo.
Nobody prices a job properly down a phone line, so we come and look before anyone talks about money.
What the job is, what it takes and what happens if you leave it. Then it is your call.
Take a photo of it and text that instead. The plate on a hot water unit, the fitting that is dripping, the wet patch in the yard. It tells us the make, the age and usually the fault, which saves you describing it and saves us guessing.
Texts get read between jobs. If it's an emergency, ring instead.
Three fields we need, two that help. If it is urgent, ring instead, it is faster.
Licensed Plumber & Gas Fitter
Frenchville is built on a hill, and elevation is the plumbing story here. The suburb runs from flat ground at the bottom up the lower slopes of Mount Archer, and houses higher up sit at the weaker end of the water pressure the network can deliver, particularly at peak demand on a hot Rockhampton evening. That means a pressure complaint in upper Frenchville is very often not a blocked aerator or a partly closed valve, and replacing tap ware will not touch it. It needs measuring at the meter before anyone spends money. The housing spans the 1970s through to the 2000s, mostly brick and tile, and a lot of it is on sloping blocks with the house set above or below the street. That makes drainage runs longer than they look and gives them limited fall, which is why a Frenchville blockage tends to sit mid-run rather than at the gully.
Water pressure at elevation, and drainage runs on sloping blocks that have less fall than they appear to. Both get misdiagnosed as fixture problems.
Sloping blocks with steep driveways, and houses set above or below the street. Where a job needs a machine, the slope decides what can get in.
