Parkhurst is Rockhampton's northern growth corridor, and most of it is new. We are a licensed plumber and gas fitter based in Yeppoon, covering the water and the gas from the one trade.
Parkhurst is where Rockhampton has been building, and the estates here are almost all 2000s onwards with new lots still coming out of the ground. That makes it the least repair-driven suburb in this whole library. The pipe is new, the drainage is designed, and there is nothing old enough to have failed yet. So the work is what a growth suburb generates: fit-off and connection on new builds, gas points for cooktops and outdoor kitchens, rainwater tanks plumbed back to the house, and the first wave of hot water changeovers on the earliest estate lots, which are now fifteen to twenty years in. There is older acreage on the fringes towards Rockyview and the highway, and that is a completely different job, tank supply and on-site treatment rather than mains and sewer. Parkhurst is also on the Bruce Highway corridor, so there is commercial and light industrial along Yaamba Road, which brings backflow prevention and thermostatic mixing valve testing rather than domestic work.

I had a plumbing emergency where an underground pipe burst flooding my house. Jason from Flowtek plumbing services attended within 10 minutes and closed off the system. He diagnosed to problem, located the source of the leak through a heat detection instrument and came up with a transparent plan to fix.Jason and his team commenced a dig within the existing kitchen corner cupboard space, very awkward and through concrete where the pipe was located a deep (about 18 inches deep).The pipe was fixed in situ and back to working order. Jason and his team made sure no cupboards or tiles were damaged and worked tirelessly late into the evenings to make sure we’re had water back in line as soon as possible.I cannot recommend Flowtec enough.
