Six things, and the three at the top are what Lammermoor rings us about most. Every one of them is done by a licensed plumber and gas fitter, and the site gets cleaned up before we leave.
Water coming back up through the plugholes, and the plunger has given up. Blocked dunnies, leaking taps, corroded pipework and water pressure that is either a dribble or a rumble. This is the bread and butter service call.
More on blocked drains
You turn on the tap and wait for it to warm up. And wait. And wait. We install energy efficient hot water systems and troubleshoot the one you already have. Instantaneous gas, solar and heat pump, plus repairs on whatever is out there now.
More on hot water
Creating your dream bathroom, kitchen or laundry? The plumbing you cannot see is the part that ruins a renovation. We cover the water and the gas on the same job, so a kitchen with a gas cooktop takes one trade instead of two.
More on renovations
Make sure you are (safely) cooking with gas. Gas is the licensed, higher risk work a handyman cannot legally touch. Hot water systems, stovetops and ovens are the speciality, domestic and commercial, including commercial kitchens.
Gas fitting
The test is annual, and the reminder never comes at a good time. Backflow valves stop contaminated water flowing back into the drinking supply. Thermostatic mixing valves blend hot and cold to a safe temperature so nobody gets scalded. Both need testing, and we test and repair on the spot.
Backflow and TMV

Flowtek did a bathroom renovation for me. Great ideas and awesome quality but even a better chat.
We work across Capricorn Coast from Yeppoon, but we are not going to put a made-up job or a borrowed photo on this page to prove it. If we have done work at your place in Lammermoor, a Google review helps your neighbours far more than anything we could write here.

Jason was incredibly efficient, friendly, reliable and professional. Workmanship is spot on. Absolutely recommend and will be using him again for our home Reno project.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Jason from Flowtek services for the installation of two new toilets. I cannot express enough how helpful and knowledgeable he was throughout the process. Unlike other plumbers who simply gave me a quote, Jason took the time to educate me on my purchases and ensure that I made informed decisions. He was prompt, reliable, and patiently addressed every question I had. It is evident that he takes great pride in his work and places a strong emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. I highly recommend Jason and Flowtek services for all your plumbing needs.
These are customers' own words about their own jobs, published on our Google Business Profile and quoted here exactly as they wrote them, misspellings of our name included. They describe what happened on those days. They are not a promise about how quickly we can get to you.
Up on the higher Lammermoor blocks it often is not. Pressure at the top of a hill sits at the weaker end of the network range, and it gets weaker again at peak demand in the evening. We can measure it at your tap and tell you whether the problem is on your side of the meter or not, which decides whether a pump is worth it.
On a slope, water from a broken line runs downhill inside the trench and surfaces well below the break, so the wet patch is a symptom, not a location. We locate the actual break before we dig, which on a Lammermoor block with retaining walls usually saves more than the locating costs.
Four things, in order. You could check every one of them the next day.
Tell us the suburb and what is happening. A photo of the unit or the leak tells us more than a paragraph does.
Sometimes that is a question or two on the phone. Sometimes it is obvious from the photo.
Nobody prices a job properly down a phone line, so we come and look before anyone talks about money.
What the job is, what it takes and what happens if you leave it. Then it is your call.
Take a photo of it and text that instead. The plate on a hot water unit, the fitting that is dripping, the wet patch in the yard. It tells us the make, the age and usually the fault, which saves you describing it and saves us guessing.
Texts get read between jobs. If it's an emergency, ring instead.
Three fields we need, two that help. If it is urgent, ring instead, it is faster.
Licensed Plumber & Gas Fitter
Lammermoor is a steep suburb, and steepness decides most of the plumbing here. A lot of the housing is 1990s and 2000s, two storey, built on blocks that needed retaining walls to sit on. Two things follow. First, the drainage and sewer runs are long and they have to hold their fall the whole way down, so when a line does block it is rarely at the gully, it is somewhere in the middle of a long run under a slope. Second, once a retaining wall has been built over a line, getting to it is a proper excavation rather than a shovel job, and it is worth locating the fault properly before anything gets dug. The upside of height is water pressure at the bottom of the hill, and the downside is that the houses near the top can sit at the weaker end of the range, especially on a hot evening when everyone on the coast is watering.
Long runs on steep ground. Blockages sit mid-run rather than at the gully, and leaks in a buried line on a slope track downhill before they surface, so the wet patch is rarely above the break.
Steep driveways and retaining walls. If a job needs a machine, tell us about the slope and the wall when you ring, because that decides whether we bring the mini excavator or dig it by hand.
