Can I put a gas cooktop in a house that has no gas?
On the Capricorn Coast that generally means bottled LPG rather than natural gas, and yes, it is a normal job. It needs a proper bottle location, a regulator and a compliant run to the appliance. Gas is licensed work, so it is not a job for a handyman, and we will leave you the paperwork.
My house is only fifteen years old. Why is the hot water going?
Fifteen years is a good innings for a storage system, and on this coast the salt in the air shortens it further. If it is still working, it is worth deciding what replaces it now rather than in the middle of a cold shower, because an instantaneous or heat pump changeover is a different install to a like-for-like swap.
