Farnborough is the acreage country north of Yeppoon, running up towards the national park. We are a licensed plumber and gas fitter based in Yeppoon, covering the water and the gas from the one trade.

Call nowNo hot water, a drain that is slow, a tap that will not stop. It can wait a day, but it is not going to fix itself.

Six things, and the three at the top are what Farnborough rings us about most. Every one of them is done by a licensed plumber and gas fitter, and the site gets cleaned up before we leave.
Water coming back up through the plugholes, and the plunger has given up. Blocked dunnies, leaking taps, corroded pipework and water pressure that is either a dribble or a rumble. This is the bread and butter service call.
More on blocked drains
You turn on the tap and wait for it to warm up. And wait. And wait. We install energy efficient hot water systems and troubleshoot the one you already have. Instantaneous gas, solar and heat pump, plus repairs on whatever is out there now.
More on hot water
Make sure you are (safely) cooking with gas. Gas is the licensed, higher risk work a handyman cannot legally touch. Hot water systems, stovetops and ovens are the speciality, domestic and commercial, including commercial kitchens.
More on gas fitting
Creating your dream bathroom, kitchen or laundry? The plumbing you cannot see is the part that ruins a renovation. We cover the water and the gas on the same job, so a kitchen with a gas cooktop takes one trade instead of two.
Renovations
The test is annual, and the reminder never comes at a good time. Backflow valves stop contaminated water flowing back into the drinking supply. Thermostatic mixing valves blend hot and cold to a safe temperature so nobody gets scalded. Both need testing, and we test and repair on the spot.
Backflow and TMV
Water is going everywhere and it is not stopping on its own. Our local emergency team is ready to respond promptly during all active business hours. Burst pipes, water leaks, blocked drains and suspected gas leaks.

Highly recommend Jason at Flowtek for all your Plumbing and Gasing needs. His service and knowledge is exceptional!
We work across Capricorn Coast from Yeppoon, but we are not going to put a made-up job or a borrowed photo on this page to prove it. If we have done work at your place in Farnborough, a Google review helps your neighbours far more than anything we could write here.
Google reviews from across Yeppoon, Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast, quoted exactly as they were written.
Jason was incredibly efficient, friendly, reliable and professional. Workmanship is spot on. Absolutely recommend and will be using him again for our home Reno project.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Jason from Flowtek services for the installation of two new toilets. I cannot express enough how helpful and knowledgeable he was throughout the process. Unlike other plumbers who simply gave me a quote, Jason took the time to educate me on my purchases and ensure that I made informed decisions. He was prompt, reliable, and patiently addressed every question I had. It is evident that he takes great pride in his work and places a strong emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. I highly recommend Jason and Flowtek services for all your plumbing needs.
Highly recommend Jason and the team from Flowtek Services! There was great communication from start to finish, they were able to promptly fit me into their schedule, charged a fair price and most importantly fixed a job another popular plumbing business couldn’t!! 10/10 guys thank you!!
These are customers' own words about their own jobs, published on our Google Business Profile and quoted here exactly as they wrote them, misspellings of our name included. They describe what happened on those days. They are not a promise about how quickly we can get to you.
That is short cycling, and it is the most common Farnborough call we get. It is usually either a waterlogged pressure vessel that has lost its air charge, or a small leak somewhere on the line that lets pressure bleed off. Left alone it will kill the pump. Both are straightforward to diagnose once we can see the setup.
We do the plumbing side, so the drainage into and out of the system, the fixtures and the pipework. Ring us and describe what you are seeing and we will tell you honestly whether it is a plumbing fault or a job for the treatment system servicer.
Four things, in order. You could check every one of them the next day.
Tell us the suburb and what is happening. A photo of the unit or the leak tells us more than a paragraph does.
Sometimes that is a question or two on the phone. Sometimes it is obvious from the photo.
Nobody prices a job properly down a phone line, so we come and look before anyone talks about money.
What the job is, what it takes and what happens if you leave it. Then it is your call.
Take a photo of it and text that instead. The plate on a hot water unit, the fitting that is dripping, the wet patch in the yard. It tells us the make, the age and usually the fault, which saves you describing it and saves us guessing.
Texts get read between jobs. If it's an emergency, ring instead.
Three fields we need, two that help. If it is urgent, ring instead, it is faster.
Licensed Plumber & Gas Fitter
Farnborough is where the coast stops being a town and starts being blocks measured in acres. A good share of properties up here are not on town mains and reticulated sewer at all. They run rainwater tanks with a pressure pump, and they treat their own wastewater through a septic or an aerated treatment system. That changes what the calls sound like. "No water" in Yeppoon usually means a burst. In Farnborough it usually means a pump that has lost its prime, a pressure vessel that has waterlogged, or a float switch in a tank. "Blocked drain" here often turns out to be a treatment system that has not been serviced or a soakage trench that has stopped soaking. It also means the water going to your taps is your own responsibility, so tank screens, first flush and the condition of the pump matter more than anything in the street.
Pumps and tanks. A pressure pump that short cycles, a waterlogged pressure vessel, or a tank outlet that has silted up. After that it is on-site wastewater, where the fault is usually a system that has gone too long between services.
Long driveways, gates, and stock or dogs on some properties. Tell us on the phone if there is a gate code or a dog, and give us the actual house location on the block rather than just the street number.
That figure is a distance, not a promise about the clock. Our local emergency team is ready to respond promptly during all active business hours. Ring us and we will tell you what we can actually do and when.
