Bungundarra is properly rural, hilly, and off the reticulated network. Almost everything up here runs on rainwater tanks with a pressure pump, and treats its own wastewater on site. That makes the household its own little water utility, and the faults are utility faults rather than fixture faults. The one that catches people out is the interaction between the hills and the pump: on a sloping property the house can sit well above the tank, so the pump is working against a real static head before it does anything useful, and a pump that was fine for the old house is often not fine after an extension or a second bathroom.
