Six things, and the three at the top are what Tanby rings us about most. Every one of them is done by a licensed plumber and gas fitter, and the site gets cleaned up before we leave.
Water coming back up through the plugholes, and the plunger has given up. Blocked dunnies, leaking taps, corroded pipework and water pressure that is either a dribble or a rumble. This is the bread and butter service call.

Make sure you are (safely) cooking with gas. Gas is the licensed, higher risk work a handyman cannot legally touch. Hot water systems, stovetops and ovens are the speciality, domestic and commercial, including commercial kitchens.
More on gas fitting
You turn on the tap and wait for it to warm up. And wait. And wait. We install energy efficient hot water systems and troubleshoot the one you already have. Instantaneous gas, solar and heat pump, plus repairs on whatever is out there now.
More on hot water
Creating your dream bathroom, kitchen or laundry? The plumbing you cannot see is the part that ruins a renovation. We cover the water and the gas on the same job, so a kitchen with a gas cooktop takes one trade instead of two.
Renovations
The test is annual, and the reminder never comes at a good time. Backflow valves stop contaminated water flowing back into the drinking supply. Thermostatic mixing valves blend hot and cold to a safe temperature so nobody gets scalded. Both need testing, and we test and repair on the spot.
Backflow and TMV
Water is going everywhere and it is not stopping on its own. Our local emergency team is ready to respond promptly during all active business hours. Burst pipes, water leaks, blocked drains and suspected gas leaks.

Flowtek did a bathroom renovation for me. Great ideas and awesome quality but even a better chat.
We work across Capricorn Coast from Yeppoon, but we are not going to put a made-up job or a borrowed photo on this page to prove it. If we have done work at your place in Tanby, a Google review helps your neighbours far more than anything we could write here.

Couldn’t recommend this service enough! My husband was away and my kitchen sink backed up, he came and fixed it that day and gave me some great advice to stop it happening again. The price was great! I was quoted twice that by the bigger companies and they also couldn’t get to me for days.
What an absolute legend.my hot water system busted. He had it done after 1 day without it. 10/10 for communication, was the first to respond to my messages for help. Nothing was a drama. Jason was just a nice fellow that made us feel comfortable and got the job done. Decent price too. Thanks Jason.

These are customers' own words about their own jobs, published on our Google Business Profile and quoted here exactly as they wrote them, misspellings of our name included. They describe what happened on those days. They are not a promise about how quickly we can get to you.
Usually, yes. On a Tanby block we trace it from the supply rather than guessing, and while we are there it is worth putting an isolator somewhere you can actually reach, so the next fault does not mean shutting the whole property down.
Yes. Out here it is nearly always bottled LPG for cooking and hot water, and it is licensed work. Bottle location, regulator and the run to the appliance all have to be right, and we leave you the paperwork.
Four things, in order. You could check every one of them the next day.
Tell us the suburb and what is happening. A photo of the unit or the leak tells us more than a paragraph does.
Sometimes that is a question or two on the phone. Sometimes it is obvious from the photo.
Nobody prices a job properly down a phone line, so we come and look before anyone talks about money.
What the job is, what it takes and what happens if you leave it. Then it is your call.
Take a photo of it and text that instead. The plate on a hot water unit, the fitting that is dripping, the wet patch in the yard. It tells us the make, the age and usually the fault, which saves you describing it and saves us guessing.
Texts get read between jobs. If it's an emergency, ring instead.
Three fields we need, two that help. If it is urgent, ring instead, it is faster.
Licensed Plumber & Gas Fitter
Tanby is the in-between country, big blocks on the road that links the two coastal towns. The plumbing story here is layers. Most of these properties have been added to over decades: a shed with a laundry tub in it, a second dwelling or a granny flat, a stock trough, an irrigation line to the house paddock, all put in at different times by different hands. So on a Tanby job the first thing we do is work out what is actually there, because the layout almost never matches what anybody remembers. A good share of blocks run tank water with a pressure pump and treat their own wastewater on site, which puts the supply and the treatment system on the owner rather than on the council. The practical upshot is that a Tanby fault is usually a system problem, not a single broken fitting.
Additions that were never mapped. A line to a shed or a trough that nobody can find the isolator for, and pump or tank supply faults that look like a fixture problem until you follow the pipe.
Long driveways and gates on most blocks. If there is stock or a dog, say so on the phone. Tell us where the house sits on the block, because a street number on Tanby Road can be a few hundred metres from the gate.
That figure is a distance, not a promise about the clock. Our local emergency team is ready to respond promptly during all active business hours. Ring us and we will tell you what we can actually do and when.
